Gynaecology deals with the female reproductive system including menstrual disorders, menopause, infectious disease and maldevelopment of the reproductive organs, disturbances of the sex hormones, benign and malignant tumor formation, and the prescription of contraceptive devices, infertility, and pregnancy.
General Gynecology Problems
Abnormal Bleeding, Ovarian Cysts, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Vaginal Discharge.
It is normal for women to have a small amount of vaginal discharge which will vary both in amount and appearance during different parts of the menstrual cycle. You should only become concerned if the discharge becomes heavier, changes colour, is itchy or has an unpleasant odour. This may be associated with infection so make sure you see a qualified
Gynecologist. You may need to take antibiotics. This is very important as an untreated infection may damage your tubes which might cause you to have an ectopic pregnancy or even make you infertile in the future.
